Description
This 48x24 Original acrylic on canvas is from the private collection, artist. This is a Laurelland “streaming” of my seasonal favorites...WINTRY icy rock, snow drifted birch tree bases... melting into SPRING redbud and dogwood flecked forests while mature weeping willow trees bathe just beyond the creek edge...a felled oak spans the short, hot sunlit span of distant creek SUMMER ....before climbing thru swamp maple, gray birch and undergrowth burnishing atop the carpet of crunchy AUTUMN leaves as the bank edge traces delicate, icy lacework of early winter to come! WELCOME to LAURELLAND where Beauty and Fantasy drift into the Light!
I usually paint to classical music and my favorite companion piece is “The Lark Ascending” by Vaughn Williams. I love the strings...most of all, the Violin which my dad played well.
This painting is also a tribute to my dad and is reflective of my childhood memories of his first paintings. They were individual oil works “framed” within two grooved aluminum bars and took most of the “ parlor” wall of our fourth floor apartment. I thought it was SO BEAUTIFUL. I can almost hear him saying: “ Good job, Schnookums!” The best of our talents are within that painting as the darkness vanishes into the Light!
A Haiku:
“Ice melt and red bud,
Timeless river flows strong now…
Gath’ring Autumn leaves.”

Many thanks Jerry…however, having taught when galleried, I used to encourage fellow artists to be their expression of art and not someone else’s. I hope you will be kind to yourself and ask your brushes to PLAY! Your photoartistic portfolio is indicative of a sensitive artist eye. Trust the FLOW of your desire to SEE and hold moments of beauty to share with others guide your brushes. I can’t WAIT to see your imaginarium! In the meantime, I am returning to your portfolio for glimpses of beauty as well..:-) have a great day!

I had to come looked at your site after all the wonderful comments you sent. These are just gorgeous and very much what I would like to do. Unfortunately, I tried for a while when I was young but was never satisfied with the outcomes.
