In 1932 the Union Boat Club became one of the first clubs in the country to form a female crew team. Other Harlem River clubs included the First Bohemian, Lone Star, Dauntless, and Wyanoke. In 1937 Robert Moses evicted nine boathouses from “Skuller’s Row.” Reprint.
