This is an 1892 photograph of the old Nagle homestead, also called the Century House, once located in the Inwood section of northern Manhattan. The two-story home, with the low, pointed roof sat near the bank of the Harlem River, near the present West 213th Street.
This reproduction was made from an original negative by early photographer Edward Wenzel.
