This early twentieth century panorama of Dyckman Street is the pride of my collection. Note the gingerbread-like homes in what is now Inwood Hill Park. Dyckan Street runs horizontally through the photo. To the left is the Hudson River. Also to the left the old Magdalen Asylum can be seen under construction. The spire from the House of Mercy pokes out atop Inwood Hill. To the far right, running north/south is Payson Avenue. So much detail! So much to look at! (High resolution duplicate of original image)
